Research validates the power of the Mindful Classroom program to benefit student wellbeing, learning readiness and their ability to respond calmly and confidently to daily challenges.
In 2025, Hello Mindful Learner was demonstrated to help create classroom cohesion, plus benefits for students and teachers both within and outside the classroom.

Validation research 2025
In foundation research, the Mindful Classroom program was implemented across multiple classrooms, to over a hundred students (aged 13-18 years), demonstrating:
Around three quarters of participating students experienced significantly reduced distress across the period as measured by the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale – Youth version (DASS-Y).
The program demonstrated a positive moderate effect to reduce student overall experienced distress (depression, anxiety and stress) across the period. Students also reported additional mental health and emotional well-being benefits, enhanced relaxation and calmness, plus self-reflection and awareness, focus and clarity, and stress recovery.
20% of students demonstrated clinically-significant improvement in their distress levels, indicated by the Reliable Change Score index; none showed distress deterioration. This effect is commensurate with the effects attributed to antidepressant medication’s ability to reduce anxiety and depression.
A majority reported applying these techniques more broadly to their daily lives, outside the classroom.
This classroom program for high-school students was around 90% quicker to deliver than established Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programs (typically delivered across a total of 24-28 hours).
